Responsible for scheduling, supervising, teaching, and evaluating students in the classroom and clinical setting.\nMinimum Required\nEducation: Master’s degree in nursing.\nMust hold a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.\nMinimum Required\nExperience: Three years’ experience as a licensed nurse.\nPreferred: Teaching experience in a higher educational nursing program. \nCore Duties and\nRequired Knowledge: Demonstrates a commitment to academic and scholarly excellence, personal integrity, and professional ethics.\n Maintains working knowledge of the Texas Board of Nursing Rule 215 of the Nurse Practice Act for Licensure.\nProvides instruction in assigned classes and clinical rotations with professionalism and dedication.\nPromotes the use of critical thinking skills in clinical settings to enhance student learning and patient care.\nPlans and delivers course content effectively, prepares lessons in advance, communicates clear course requirements, and evaluates students fairly and objectively in alignment with institutional standards.\nSupervises, teaches, and evaluates students in the clinical setting, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.\nDemonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.\nSubmits required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.\nCommunicates effectively in both oral and written forms.\nBuilds positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.\nApplies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support effective teaching and student learning.\nStrategic Vision and\nProgram Development: Maintains an understanding of Hill College’s mission and vision, aligning professional practice with institutional goals.\n Actively contributes to curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement to ensure program relevance and quality.\nCollaboration: Engages in both independent and team efforts to support student recruitment and retention.\n Works collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.\nDemonstrates a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment that provides a sense of belonging for all.\nDemonstrated Attributes: Upholds the highest standards of academic excellence, personal integrity, and professional ethics.\nActively pursues professional development and remains engaged in the evolving field of nursing.\nOther Information: Serves on faculty and standing committees as requested.\nSecurity sensitive position. \nPhysical Requirements: Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
