As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of large-scale or complex residential developments, leading cost control, procurement and reporting across multiple phases.\nYou’ll play a hands-on role in maximising project performance, while also mentoring junior colleagues and helping shape a high-performing, collaborative commercial team.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLead the commercial delivery of residential construction projects from pre-start to final account\n\nManage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and claims in line with Hill protocols\n\nPrepare and review CVCs, cost forecasts, valuations and outturn summaries\n\nTake part in early-stage design reviews and value engineering opportunities\n\nContribute to team meetings with design, technical, production and client-side colleagues\n\nMentor Trainee and Assistant Surveyors, contributing to performance reviews and development\n\nEnsure compliance with Building Regulations, contract terms and ISO9001 standards\n\nAttend client and consultant meetings and represent Hill professionally\n\nProvide commercial insight during design coordination and risk management\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nHND/HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related subject\n\nChartered (or working towards) RICS or MCIOB status\n\nStrong experience managing the commercial aspects of residential developments\n\nExcellent understanding of subcontract terms, procurement, and cost control\n\nSkilled in remeasurement for key trades including RC frame, groundworks and brickwork\n\nConfidence negotiating final accounts, claims and changes\n\nGood working knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety in construction\n\nAnalytical and detail-driven with strong forecasting and reporting skills\n\nTeam player with strong communication and mentoring abilities\n\nWhat you’ll get:\n25 days holiday\n\nPrivate healthcare and wellbeing platform\n\nHill Incentive scheme and retail discounts\n\nVolunteering days and continuous learning opportunities\n\nA high-performing and supportive team culture\n\ncompetitive salary and package\n\nWhy Hill?\nAt Hill, we offer more than just a job - we offer the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact.
