Working within the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, the role provides planning and scheduling expertise throughout all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover. The Senior Planning Engineer will analyze project performance, identify schedule risks and delays, evaluate recovery strategies, and provide management with accurate progress reporting and forecasting to support informed decision-making and successful project execution.\n Lead in preparation and manage the preparation and development of construction and procurement schedules. \nReviewing contract documents, suggesting changes for planning, cost and programming aspects and the addition of new clauses if necessary \nReview schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management. \nCarry out studies into scheduling, resource and material flow as needed. \nDevelop draft Monitoring and Reporting System for management and Engineer review. \nManage all programme control aspects for the Consultant for the monthly reports to the Engineer. \nMonitor and report on design performance to design programme and cost liaise with Engineer to allow Design Project and Design Programmes to be incorporated into the Project and Programme Master Programmes \nManage the resolution of variance reports relating to scheduling and cost reporting \nProvide guidance and advice to the senior management team on planning issues \nAssisting in the consultant selection process for commercial and technical evaluation \nAssisting in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on Project progress for the client and Project \nPreparing risk assessment and mitigation plans\n Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering or equivalent • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.\nMinimum of 20 years overall post graduate experience Project Controls lead for planning projects of deep tunnel and pumping station.
