The position performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, safely operates company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), assists with loading and unloading, and works alongside the crew to complete assigned moves and deliveries.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nSafely operate company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.\nConduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly reportvehicle maintenance, safety, or operational concerns.\nTransport customers’ household goods, commercial goods, equipment, and other materials safely and efficiently to assigned locations.\nServe as the on-site team lead for assigned moves and deliveries, providing direction and support to crews of up to five employees.\nCoordinate daily job activities to promote safe, efficient, and timely completion of customer moves and deliveries.\nAssist with the loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, wrapping, and protection of customers’ belongings as required.\nEnsure customer property is handled carefully and protected from loss or damage throughout the moving and delivery process.\nCommunicate professionally with customers regarding the move or delivery process, job expectations, and any issues that arise at the job site.\nServe as a professional representative of Hilldrup and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction.\nFollow established safety procedures and use appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques when moving materials.\nMaintain required vehicle, delivery, and job-related documentation accurately and timely.\nMaintain the cleanliness and general condition of assigned company vehicles and equipment.\nWork cooperatively with crew members, operations personnel, and other departments to support efficient service delivery.\nImmediately report accidents, injuries, property damage, customer concerns, or other significant incidents in accordance with company procedures.\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance and report toassigned jobs as scheduled.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Experience/Skills:\nEducation/Work Experience/Certificates\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nValid driver’slicenseappropriate for the type of vehicle being operated; CDL is not required for this position.\nDriving record that meets Hilldrup’s established driver eligibility requirements.\nAbility to successfully complete applicable background screening, drug screening, and driver qualification requirements.\nAbility to meet applicable medical or physical qualification requirements for the vehicles operated and work performed.\nSix months or more of professional Box Tuck drivingexperience preferred.\nPrevious moving and storage, delivery, transportation, logistics, or related experience preferred.\nSkills\nCustomer Focused\nCollaborative\nCommunicative\nResilient\nStrive for inclusion of others\nDependable\nSolution-finder\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry heavy household goods and commercial items, including furniture, boxes, appliances, and equipment, repeatedly throughout the workday.\nAbility to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach while loading, unloading, and arranging items in vehicles or customer locations.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, including working indoors and outdoors and on various types of surfaces.\nAbility to safely operate and enter/exit company vehicles, including performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and assisting with vehicle loading and unloading.\nAbility to work in physically demanding conditions, including varying weather, temperatures, and environments, while maintaining safe work practices and appropriate customer service.\nAbout Hilldrup\nHilldrup is one of the largest and most honored agency groups in the entire industry, operating facilities in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
