The project manager would work with the team to provide management and oversight of up to $7M in building automation projects. The project manager is responsible for assisting the construction team in all aspects of the building automation design and controls installation of a project, contributing to a supportive, safe, and on-time completion that is within budget.\nEssential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\nUnderstand engineering concepts regarding mechanical and electrical controls, including MEP Coordination; ability to value engineer opportunities to better serve the customer\nComprehend construction design drawings and specifications\nAssist internal team in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.\nReview plans and specifications and gain understanding of HVAC design intent\nDevelop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team\nManage delivery of equipment and materials to the job sites\nParticipate in preconstruction planning and MEP coordination meetings.\nResponsible for all project communication with architect, engineers, owners, and other contractors including RFI’s, Change Orders and Submittals\nCoordinate with engineers, electricians, and programming technicians\nDocument project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency\nWork with internal team to track job costs and project monthly billings\nManage participation in the commissioning process and track close-out items until completion\nCollect and verify field mark-ups and review with engineers for creation of as-builts\nResponsible for maintaining a safe working environment compliant with company regulations\nResponsible for final resolution of conflicts\nPerform all other duties as assigned\nExperience and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related major is required or equivalent work experience\nWork experience operating within mechanical, electrical, general contractor, or other construction management experience preferred\nProficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)\nOther Qualifications:\nMust have the ability to mentor and teach others.\nDemonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines\nDemonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems in complex technical environments\nDemonstrated confidence and expertise in dealing with all levels of client contact\nRequires an ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and adjust to changing situations\nRequires great attention to detail, accuracy, an ability to prioritize and multi-task\nMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
