The ideal candidate will bring at least a decade of professional software development experience, with a strong track record of designing, building, and maintaining polished, secure, and high-performing web applications. This role requires a blend of technical excellence, UI/UX sensibility, problem-solving, and leadership to architect, build, and optimize mission-critical, public-facing web systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible web applications using ASP.NET Core (MVC/Razor Pages) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.\nBuild and maintain RESTful/GraphQL APIs and backend services in C#/.NET that power front-end applications and integrate with SQL Server and other enterprise systems.\nTranslate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, semantic, cross-browser HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.\nArchitect scalable, secure, and performant front-end and back-end web architectures, including component libraries, state management, and reusable UI patterns.\nEnsure web applications meet accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and web security best practices, and are optimized for performance across browsers and devices.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UX/design, QA, and business stakeholders, to deliver end-to-end web solutions.\nSupport cloud-based hosting and deployment initiatives using Azure (App Service, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).\nMentor junior developers and contribute to front-end and back-end technical best practices, code reviews, and architectural discussions.\nBuild and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable, and automated web application deployments.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize web application performance, scalability, and reliability in production.\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on web application development.\nProven expertise in C#/.NET (Core/Framework), including ASP.NET Core MVC/Razor Pages and building RESTful APIs.\nStrong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with at least one major front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue).\nSolid command of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive, cross-browser design principles.\nProven experience with SQL Server (or comparable relational databases) and strong SQL query and optimization skills.\nExperience implementing web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508).\nExperience with Azure, including App Service, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, and cloud deployment for web applications.\nStrong understanding of web application security best practices (authentication/authorization, OWASP Top 10, data protection).\nExcellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and leadership abilities across front-end, back-end, and database code.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with public sector or government web applications.\nDemonstrated ability to leverage generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, code review, refactoring, unit-test creation, troubleshooting/debugging, and technical documentation while validating generated output for accuracy and security.\nExperience with SharePoint, Power Automate, or other Microsoft 365 integration technologies.\nRelevant technical
