Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You will actively monitor the pool area to prevent accidents, provide emergency assistance when needed, and enforce pool safety rules. You will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool and deck areas, including handling pool equipment and ensuring water quality standards are met. As a Beach Patrol Officer, you’re not just ensuring the safety and well-being of guests using the pool and surrounding areas - you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Water Safety & Guest Protection: Conduct continuous surveillance of beach, lagoon, swimming, snorkeling, and water activity areas.
Marine Patrol Operations: Maintain vigilance for environmental, safety, or security risks within designated patrol areas.
Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response activities including water rescues, medical assistance, fire emergencies, missing person incidents, and evacuation procedures.
Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: Inspect rescue equipment, life-saving appliances, first aid kits, communication devices, and assigned patrol equipment before each shift.
Guest Service Excellence: Provide professional, friendly, and courteous service to all guests. Support resort operations without compromising primary safety responsibilities. Assist guests with inquiries and safety-related information.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports, rescue reports, and activity records. Report safety hazards, incidents, near misses, and security concerns promptly. Ensure effective communication with Security Control and Shift Supervisors throughout the duty period
Training & Compliance: Maintain competency in rescue, first aid, CPR, firefighting, and watercraft operation. Comply with Hilton policies, grooming standards, and workplace safety requirements
Physical Readiness: Maintain strong swimming skills and physical fitness to respond effectively in emergencies.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years experience in security, lifeguarding, water safety, marine operations, or hospitality safety operations preferred.
- Valid Lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent)
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification required
Water Rescue Certification preferred.
- Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
Knowledge of maritime and water safety procedures.
- Previous lifeguard or pool safety experience preferred
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
