As a Hotel Accountant, you’re not just supporting the hotel’s financial operations - you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.\n Accounts Payable\nAudit and account for purchase orders, invoices, and supplier records.\n\nReview payments and submit to the Cluster Assistant Director of Finance for approval.\n\nEnsure invoices are approved and have supporting documentation before payment.\n\nBalance monthly supplier statements and follow up on missing invoices.\n\nRecord and reconcile invoices accurately using the correct ledger and cost centre codes.\n\nMaintain confidentiality and ensure proper rates for foreign currency payments.\n\nKeep an organized filing system and respond to inquiries promptly.\n\nCost Management\nEnsure security of all stores and control access.\n\nVerify the receipt of goods and check against purchase orders.\n\nRecord and verify food and beverage invoices, ensuring accuracy.\n\nConduct regular inspections of storerooms to maintain compliance.\n\nAssist in inventory management and stock level monitoring, including monthly stock takes.\n\nCollaborate with the Cluster Purchasing Manager to manage costs effectively while maintaining quality.\n\nIncome Audit\nCollect F&B and Front Office bills, ensuring totals match trial balance reports.\n\nAudit guest ledgers and entertainment checks for proper authorization.\n\nMaintain a record of cashier discrepancies and prepare monthly summaries.\n\nPrepare reports on void checks and coupons for promotions, working with the Senior Accountant.\n\nGeneral Cashier Duties\nCount cashiers’ envelopes daily with a witness and prepare daily deposit reports.\n\nReimburse cashiers for disbursements and ensure proper fund security.\n\nReconcile house funds with the general ledger account monthly.\n\nSafeguard access to the General Cashier’s float and safe.\n\nRecord and reconcile petty cash, ensuring proper documentation.\n\nAccounts Receivable\nReconcile credit card transactions with sales slips and trial balance reports.\n\nCoordinate with banks for credit card issues and city ledger document collection.\n\nPurchasing\nReceive and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.\n\nInspect goods for quality and accuracy, report any discrepancies to suppliers.\n\nUpdate inventory records and ensure proper storage of items.\n\nCoordinate with the purchasing department and other teams to ensure timely deliveries.\n\nAssist in maintaining stock levels and placing orders when necessary.\n\n A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
