You will lead cross-functional teams, develop tailored bid strategies and solution concepts, and ensure that proposals meet both technical and commercial requirements. Working closely with Sales, Application Engineering, R&D, and Product Management, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, competitive, and customer-focused proposals while continuously improving bid processes and efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nIndependently lead and coordinate complex quotation and tender processes from initial customer inquiry through to the timely submission of high-quality proposals.\nDevelop and execute effective bid strategies, balancing technical, commercial, and financial requirements.\nServe as the central point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the bid process and drive effective cross-functional collaboration.\nAnalyze and evaluate customer requirements, specifications, and statements of work with regard to technical feasibility, commercial viability, and potential risks.\nDevelop tailored technical solution concepts in close collaboration with Sales, Application Engineering, R&D, and Product Management.\nTake ownership of the preparation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of complex proposal documents, including technical and commercial content.\nPlan, facilitate, and follow up on bid, review, and approval meetings, ensuring alignment and timely decision-making through to final proposal approval.\nSupport and advise the Sales team in developing technically solid and commercially competitive proposal solutions.\nIdentify, assess, and manage bid-related risks, developing appropriate mitigation measures where required.\nContinuously improve and standardize bid management processes, methodologies, and templates to enhance efficiency, consistency, and overall proposal quality.\nEnsure compliance with internal quality standards as well as customer-specific, contractual, and regulatory requirements throughout the entire bid process.\nRequirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.\nSeveral years of professional experience in technical sales, inside sales, bid management, proposal management, or application engineering.\nProven experience in managing complex technical tenders and quotation processes.\nStrong technical expertise combined with the ability to translate customer requirements into technically feasible and commercially viable solution concepts.\nKnowledge of relevant functional safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508) and security standards (e.g. IEC 62443, EU NIS2).\nExperience in working with safety PLCs and knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.\nAbility to work in interdisciplinary teams and to communicate technical content clearly and precisely.\nExperience with ERP Systems such as IFS Cloud, SAP, Oracle or comparable platforms.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills, with the ability to successfully collaborate across multiple functions and departments.\nHighly structured, analytical, and self-motivated approach to work, combined with a strong customer and service orientation.\nExcellent written and spoken German and English skills.\nOur Benefits\nPurpose-driven work: Contribute to sustainable solutions in safety-related automation that protect people, assets, and the environment.\n\nGlobal collaboration and diversity: Work in diverse, internationally aligned teams that act as “One Team, One Goal” to deliver results worldwide.\n\nKnowledge-driven culture: Share ideas, think entrepreneurially, and contribute to innovative solutions with tangible impact.\n\nInternational work environment: Work with colleagues worldwide, participate in global projects, and collaborate across teams and countries.\n\nDevelopment opportunities: Long-term career opportunities within an expanding international organization.\n\nCommunity and culture: Team events, open communication, flat hierarchies, collaborative teamwork, and a culture of diversity and inclusion.\n\nDisclaimer\nHIMA Group offers flexible working hours and the option to work remotely.
