Our engineering teams play a critical role in achieving this by building the end to end product experience that helps patients understand and manage their health.\nAs a Senior Engineer, you will be a hands on technical leader responsible for building and optimizing the patient facing experiences and back end services that power our platform. You will design, build, and iterate across the full stack, from modern, performant front end interfaces to reliable back end services and integrations with external partners, ensuring every feature is accurate, dependable, and delivers measurable impact for patients.\nIn this role, you will collaborate closely with product, design, operations, data, and other engineering teams to launch new features and workflows, improve the user experience, and refine the patient journey. By combining strong technical execution with a product minded, data informed approach, you will help more patients get meaningful value from our platform while improving the overall quality, reliability, and performance of the systems you own.\nYou Will:\nLead the design and architecture of scalable, performant full stack solutions that meet product requirements and enhance the patient experience.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.\n\nAdvocate for your team's technical priorities and ensure alignment within the broader engineering organization.\n\nParticipate in product discovery sessions to assess feasibility, explore patient needs, and validate ideas through prototypes and experiments.\n\nCollaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, engaging interfaces that help patients understand and act on their information, improving completion and engagement.\n\nBuild and maintain reliable, well monitored integrations with external partners and internal systems, with strong attention to data accuracy, privacy, and compliance.\n\nWork closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and communication across systems and services.\n\nContribute to the team's technical vision by identifying strategic technologies and investments that improve scalability, reliability, and performance.\n\nBreak down complex projects into clear, actionable tasks and lead execution to successful outcomes.\n\nElevate engineering standards by improving workflows, processes, and tools to increase development velocity and quality.\n\nAnalyze product, operational, and patient feedback metrics to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation for architecture, integrations, experiments, and development processes.\n\nConduct code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives across the team.\n\nModel a culture of open communication, feedback, and continuous learning by coaching and supporting teammates at all levels.\n\nYou Have:\n5+ years of professional experience building production web products with strong full stack skills in React/Next.js and Node/TypeScript (or similar).\n\nProven experience delivering scalable, high quality web applications and services in a modern cloud environment.\n\nExperience building and operating third party integrations and asynchronous, event driven workflows (queues, webhooks, retries, idempotency) where correctness and reliability matter.\n\nProficiency in front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL) and back end technologies (Node.js, Nest.js, PostgresDB, Redis, Amazon SQS).\n\nTrack record of shipping experiment driven features that improved conversion, activation, or retention; comfortable with feature flag systems and experimentation platforms such as GrowthBook, Optimizely, or LaunchDarkly.\n\nFluency in web performance optimization, accessibility, and modern UI engineering, with an eye for presenting complex information clearly and responsibly.\n\nStrong analytical and data skills, including event instrumentation, debugging analytics, and writing basic SQL or partnering with Analytics to define success metrics and guardrails.\n\nDeep product mindset: cares equally about UX, copy, and pacing as about architecture and APIs; approaches problems with iterative, testable solutions.\n\nExperience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines, including automated unit and integration testing.\n\nExcellent problem solving abilities and sound judgment in balancing speed, quality, and impact.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to align partners, make tradeoffs explicit, and drive initiatives from idea to execution.\n\nHighly organized, self directed, and capable of prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals with minimal oversight.\n\nBonus: experience in healthcare or another regulated domain (HIPAA, PHI handling), or with third party partner integrations and industry data standards.\n\nOur Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):\nCompetitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles\n\nUnlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days\n\nComprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave\n\nEmployee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)\n\n401k benefits with employer matching contribution\n\nOffsite team retreats\n\nWe are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging.
