You’ll help define not only the future of the GENNECT ecosystem, but how software becomes a core part of Hioki’s customer value proposition.\n\nHioki has built its reputation through trusted electrical measurement instruments. Our next stage of growth is about creating more value beyond the instrument by connecting instruments, measurement data, workflows and users through software.\n\nWe want a Product Manager who will treat these products as their business and their products — not a roadmap or backlog to administer. You will develop the strategy, frame the priorities and build the case — working closely enough with engineers and designers to visibly shape the product.\n\nDay to day, you will define product direction, understand customer workflows, identify unmet needs and work closely with engineering, UX, marketing and our Japan headquarters to bring better software experiences to market.\n\nThis role is based in Singapore and works extensively with teams in Japan and across Hioki globally. If you want to build products where hardware, software, data and real-world engineering come together, we would like to hear from you.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProduct Vision & Strategy\nOwn the vision, strategy and roadmap for GENNECT series of software and apps.\nDefine target users, use cases, key problems and differentiated value propositions.\nShape how future applications fit within the wider Hioki software and connected-instrument ecosystem.\nTranslate Hioki’s hardware strengths into software-enabled workflows and services.\nMake clear prioritisation decisions on what to build, improve or stop.\nCustomer & Market Understanding\nDevelop deep understanding of customer measurement, data management, reporting and collaboration workflows.\nEngage directly with customers, application engineers and sales teams to identify pain points and opportunities.\nAnalyse competing software platforms and emerging market expectations.\nConvert customer insight into product priorities and validate ideas quickly before major development investment.\nProduct Development\nWork hands-on with engineering and UX/UI teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nCreate user flows, wireframes and prototypes to communicate ideas clearly.\nParticipate in architecture and technical discussions and understand key trade-offs.\nReview features during development and help set the quality bar before release.\nDrive Agile development with a strong bias toward learning, iteration and speed.\nAI-Native Product Management\nAI should be part of how this Product Manager works every day — not to replace software engineers, but to help the PM think, test and learn faster.\nUse AI for research, competitive analysis, specifications, communication and product thinking.\nUse AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools to rapidly test ideas and user journeys.\nIdentify opportunities to incorporate AI into GENNECT products where it creates genuine customer value.\nHelp establish modern, AI-enabled product development practices.\nCommercial & Lifecycle Ownership\nTake responsibility for business performance, not only product delivery.\nDefine launch, adoption and product performance KPIs.\nWork with Product Marketing and Sales on positioning, packaging, pricing and adoption.\nTrack product usage, customer feedback and commercial results after launch.\nManage the full lifecycle, including upgrades and eventual transition or retirement.\nGlobal Collaboration\nAct as a bridge between customers, global markets, Singapore teams and Hioki headquarters in Japan.\nCommunicate product direction and priorities clearly across functions and cultures.\nWork closely with Product Marketing, Forward Deployment Engineers, Sales and Hioki’s Centers of Excellence to bring strong Voice of Customer into development.\n\nRequirements\n\nMust-Have\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Product Design, Business or related discipline.\nAround 7+ years of product management or related product development experience, including meaningful software experience.\nDemonstrated ownership of products from concept through launch and improvement.\nStrong product judgement and ability to make difficult prioritisation decisions.\nGood understanding of software development and Agile/Scrum methodologies.\nSufficient technical understanding to engage engineers on architecture, APIs, data, cloud services and technical trade-offs.\nStrong UX sensibility and ability to communicate ideas through wireframes or prototypes.\nStrong analytical and customer-centric mindset.\nAbility to create clarity in ambiguous environments.\nStrong cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skills.\nComfortable working closely with Japan-based teams (in English).\nActive user of modern AI tools for research, analysis, writing or prototyping.\nNice to Have\nExperience in industrial software, connected instruments, IoT or data acquisition.\nExperience with software used by engineers or technical professionals.\nExperience in B2B or enterprise software.\nExposure to manufacturing, energy, mobility or maintenance markets.\nExperience integrating software with physical hardware or instruments.\nFamiliarity with Figma and AI prototyping tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, v0 or Replit.\n\nAbout Hioki\nHioki is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of high-precision electrical test and measurement instruments.
