This role will support program price monitoring, planning, and reinsurance placement, helping to inform underwriting decisions, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and deliver insights that directly impact growth and risk management. The ideal candidate combines technical excellence with insurance aptitude and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.\nAbout You:\nYou’re an ACAS-credentialed pricing actuary who has worked across several P&C lines and is comfortable building from the ground up. You make sound pricing calls on thin experience data, using industry benchmarks, judgment and a clear statement of your assumptions. You build frameworks, monitoring tools and governance that make pricing consistent across a growing portfolio, and you keep them simple enough to maintain. You explain actuarial conclusions in plain terms to executives, underwriters and program partners, and you work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Reinsurance. You use SQL, AI tools and code to work faster, and you help develop the people around you.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSupport actuarial pricing for program portfolios across multiple business lines including Property and Casualty lines\n Build the foundations to support accelerating program business growth\nLeverage Casualty expertise to design, refine, and maintain price monitoring frameworks that support sound underwriting decisions and sustainable profitability\nFor property lines, collaborate on enterprise views of CAT, capital, and reinsurance costs\nWork closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Reinsurance teams to provide actuarial insights in program evaluation, treaty structuring, and risk assessment\nImplement governance protocols for pricing reviews, model usage, and program onboarding to promote consistency, transparency, and control\nAssist in defining data model requirements that enable team members to effectively and efficiently manage program performance\nMust Haves:\nBachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field \nACAS with robust pricing experience\n4 - 7 years of actuarial experience with broad exposure to pricing across multiple lines;\nExperience operating with limited experience data\nDemonstrated success in applying tools, frameworks, and best practices that drive pricing excellence\nAbility to clearly communicate actuarial concepts to executive stakeholders, underwriting teams, and external partners\nActively supported team collaboration and development\nProficiency with Excel, SQL, AI and possibly programming languages (e.g., R, Python)\nNice to Haves:\nCasualty pricing experience is preferred\nPrior program experience\nThe SF Bay Area (and New Jersey) base pay range for this role is $115,000- $155,000.
