This is a cross-trained position, where you will primarily support baking activities while also assisting with cake decoration and finishing based on production needs.\nResponsiblities\nCarry out baking-line activities including mixing, portioning, baking, and other production tasks.\nAssist with basic cake decoration, including piping, drawing, and finishing.\nSupport senior decorators with cake orders when required.\nFollow standard recipes, decorating guidelines, and production processes consistently.\nMove between decorating and baking sections based on production volume and operational requirements.\nEnsure products are completed accurately and to the required quality and presentation standards.\nMaintain consistent baking and decorating techniques across different orders.\nFollow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.\nMonitor ingredients and materials and flag shortages or production issues to the relevant section lead.\nWork collaboratively with the wider production team to ensure orders are completed on time.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.\nRequirements\n2-4 years of experience in baking, pastry, or a similar production environment.\nHands-on baking experience, including mixing, portioning, and baking.\nBasic cake decorating skills, including piping and finishing.\nComfortable moving between decorating and baking tasks based on production requirements.\nConsistent and reliable technique with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.\nStrong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.\nReliable, flexible, and willing to support different areas of production when needed.\nGood teamwork and communication skills.\nAbility to follow standardized recipes, processes, and quality guidelines consistently.\nPassion for baking and creating high-quality
