The Call Centre Operator will be responsible for coordinating truck and trailer breakdowns, managing diesel authorizations, capturing load and journey data, monitoring route compliance, and ensuring adherence to journey and sleep plans\nResponsibilities:\nHandle Truck and Trailer Breakdowns:\nReceive and log breakdown calls from drivers.\nArrange repairs with approved truck dealerships or service providers.\nProvide regular updates to the Fleet Controller.\nRecord all breakdown details in the breakdown book for morning handover.\nManage Diesel Authorizations:\nDirect drivers to approved diesel filling stations.\nApprove diesel requests and provide authorization numbers.\nRecord diesel details (fleet number, litres, date, time, and kilometres) on the system.\nCapture Load Information:\nEnter details for each truck’s loading and offloading, including client info, times, load mass, and kilometres.\nMonitor truck routes and report any unauthorized deviations.\nJourney Management:\nMonitor driver adherence to designated routes and sleep plans.\nInform Fleet Controllers of any delays or deviations.\nWake drivers as needed according to sleep plans.\nInitiate recovery protocols in case of accidents or hijackings.\nPool Vehicle Management:\nManage bookings and usage of pool vehicles.\nConduct pre- and post-trip inspections.\nReport damages to the Technical Manager.\nRequirements:\n\nGr 12 or equivalent (required)\nDiploma or similar in Logistics or Transport Management (advantage but not essential)\n2-3 years’ experience in similar position within the logistics & transport industry\nEnglish (must), Afrikaans (desired) and other official language (advantage)\nWilling to work shifts (including weekends)\nDays Day Shift - 06:00 - 18:00\nDays Night Shift - 18:00 - 06:00\nWork on a 3 days on/3 days off basis.\nContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.\nApply for this role today, contact Sonique Beetge at Hire Resolve  or on LinkedIn.\nYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: \nWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
