The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the company’s strategic financial objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to a dynamic and safety-focused mining environment.Responsibilities\nMonitor and ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures\n\nPrepare month-end journals, provisions, accruals, and financial reporting reports\n\nProcess payment of financial invoices in accordance with policies and procedures\n\nPrepare reconciliations of accounts and resolve queries in a timely manner\n\nCompile monthly performance management reports, tax schedules, VAT returns, etc.\n\nPrepare and submit all relevant statutory, regulatory, and ad-hoc reports according to business processes and policies\n\nMaintain cordial relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders\n\nAssist with internal and SOX audits by providing and sourcing relevant financial information and documentation, responding to queries, and taking corrective action\n\nEnsure all financial reporting aspects of entities comply with policies, implement effective reporting systems, perform regular audits, and take corrective action when necessary\n\nRequirements\nGrade 12 or equivalent\n\nTertiary qualification in Accounting\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ financial accounting experience within the mining industry\n\nGood knowledge and understanding of financial management principles\n\nIntermediate knowledge of SAP or similar financial ERP systems\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)\n\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills\n\nProven safety leadership and stewardship\n\nStrong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\n\nAbility to handle conflict, cope with pressure, and manage deadlines effectively\n\nMedically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination, including passing a Heat Tolerance Screening test\n\nBenefits\nSalary: Based on experience and qualifications.\nContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move today\nApply for this role today, contact Lidene Pienaar at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn\nYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV:  or visit our website!
