The HR Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the transformation of the human resources function, ensuring alignment with the company’s evolving strategies. The HR Operations Manager will ensure appropriate HR transactional performance, and optimised HR systems, and foster a high-performance culture that aligns with\nthe company’s agile and manufacturing goals.\nResponsibilities:\n\nManual Implementation\nRoll-out and embed HR policies, standards, and practices.\nConduct training sessions for managers and employees.\nLead change management initiatives aligned with business strategy.\nPerformance Management\nImplement and maintain performance frameworks.\nCoach managers in setting goals and managing performance.\nPromote continuous feedback culture.\nUse data for decision-making and reporting to leadership.\nOperations Management\nOptimize HR systems and workflows (recruitment, onboarding, payroll, etc.).\nEnsure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.\nDrive process improvement for HR service delivery.\nConduct workforce planning and manage employee lifecycle processes.\nAnalyze HR metrics for trends and improvements.\nEmployee Relations and Engagement\nChampion employee engagement and retention strategies.\nHandle disputes and promote a collaborative environment.\nDrive wellness and inclusion initiatives.\nLeadership and Collaboration\nAct as a strategic business partner to leadership.\nLead and develop the HR operations team.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with operations and production teams.\nSelf-Development\nAssess and address own development needs.\nTransitional Responsibilities:\nCentralised Payroll Management\nOversee accurate payroll processing and benefits administration.\nAct as salary administrator.\nLead payroll system migration (VIP to PaySpace).\nTalent Acquisition and Retention\nDevelop company-wide recruitment and retention strategies.\nLearning and Development\nOversee training, career development, and succession planning.\nConduct learning needs analysis and manage training budgets.\nOversee the SDF function, including WSP and ATR reporting.\nOccupational Health and Safety\nAdvise on Health & Safety matters.\nManage incapacity processes.\nEmployment Equity\nDevelop and implement EE strategy and plan.\nEnsure compliance and reporting.\nCompensation Management\nManage salary structures and benchmarking.\nEnsure PIMCA compliance.\nBoard Committee Participation & SMETA\nRepresent company at Social and Ethics & Remuneration Committees.\nAct as company rep for SMETA certification.\nRequirements:\n\nGrade 12 (Secondary Education)\nBachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources or a related field)\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in a senior HR management role\nStrong generalist HR and specialist Industrial Relations (IR) experience\nIn-depth knowledge of HR and IR practices, including disciplinary procedures, hearings, and arbitrations\nUnderstanding of all HR pillars as defined by SABPP\nStrategic planning experience\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to make data-driven decisions\nExcellent collaboration and influencing skills across all levels of the organization\nWell-developed leadership and team management abilities\nExcellent organisational, time management, and communication skills (English & Afrikaans)\nHigh emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills\nAbility to identify and respond to risks and opportunities\nBusiness acumen and entrepreneurial thinking\nAdvanced computer literacy\nAbility to build well-aligned, supportive teams\nCapable of making sound decisions at strategic, tactical, and operational levels\nAccountable for all HR operations with effective escalation structures\nSets a benchmark for transparent, open, and responsive communication\nContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.\nSalary: negotiable.\nOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.\nApply for this role today, contact Sonique Beetge at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn\nYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: : hireresolve.us or email us your CV: \nWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
