The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of product categories, ensuring sustainable and profitable results through effective product development, supplier management, pricing strategies, demand planning and product marketing.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, grow and manage a portfolio of product categories in line with business objectives.\n\nManage product master data, ensuring accurate product descriptions, attributes, images and vehicle application mapping.\n\nWork with the data mining team to maintain product information to the required standard for the online catalogue.\n\nMonitor competitor pricing and establish competitive, financially sustainable product pricing.\n\nSet promotional and quarterly pricing for product categories.\n\nSource new and existing products, evaluate suppliers and manage supplier relationships.\n\nOnboard new suppliers and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.\n\nReview product branding and packaging to ensure alignment with brand strategy.\n\nDevelop brand segmentation strategies for automotive and commercial products where required.\n\nIdentify product and market opportunities in collaboration with sales teams.\n\nPrepare and present product business cases and financial proposals to management.\n\nSecure monthly sales volume commitments from sales teams.\n\nManage new product introductions and existing product uploads into the ERP system and online catalogue.\n\nDevelop product marketing materials, including product release bulletins, promotional tools, technical bulletins, FAQs and product brochures.\n\nManage product promotions and marketing opportunities through the online catalogue and ordering portal.\n\nLead monthly demand planning meetings and review demand trends, stocking policies, average monthly usage and product life cycles.\n\nAnalyse surplus orders, excess stock and obsolete inventory, working with procurement and sales teams to reduce stock levels.\n\nConduct monthly financial and performance reviews, monitoring revenue, margins, stock turns, GMROI and return on marketing spend.\n\nConduct product range reviews and make informed product entry, exit and life cycle decisions.\n\nMonitor product portfolio performance against sales, margin, cost reduction and inventory targets.\n\nRequirements:\nTertiary qualification in Marketing, Engineering or Business Management.\n\nPrevious experience in product marketing, product management or data management will be advantageous.\n\nAdvanced MS Excel skills.\n\nStrong MS PowerPoint and general computer skills.\n\nAbility to use desktop publishing applications and design software such as Photoshop or Canva.\n\nKnowledge of product management, product marketing and business and financial principles.\n\nAbility to work with large and complex data sets.\n\nKnowledge of CRM, online platforms, e-commerce, business intelligence and reporting systems.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and logical thinking skills.\n\nGood communication and presentation skills.\n\nHigh attention to detail, with strong organisational skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nSelf-motivated, results-oriented and committed to continuous improvement.\n\nStrong customer service ethic, initiative and a proactive approach.\n\nProfessionalism, integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.\n\nEnglish proficiency; Afrikaans proficiency is also preferred.\n\nBenefits:\nSalary: negotiable.\nContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.\nApply for this role today, contact Abigail King at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn.\nYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: \nWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
