This role is ideal for a professional based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town who is looking for a hybrid work environment and scope for growth.\nThe successful candidate will be a critical part of the team, responsible for ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting for a diverse client base.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Reporting & Compliance\nDeadline Management: Together with the Financial Manager, plan and agree the annual financial reporting calendar and ensure all reports are completed within statutory deadlines.\n\nReport Preparation: Ensure all financial reports for various entities (sole proprietors, partnerships, close corporations, Trusts, and companies) are completed accurately.\n\nClient Communication: Provide commentaries to clients explaining the financial statements and handle routine communication regarding financial accounting matters.\n\nCompliance Support: Provide guidance on all financial accounting, independent review, and audit requirements.\n\nQuery Resolution: Investigate queries from staff and clients regarding the application of IFRS.\n\nTax Filing Support: Follow-up with clients to ensure Annual Financial Statements (AFS) are accepted and finalised before annual income tax returns can be filed.\n\nSpecial Reports: Review and/or prepare management reports and cash flow forecasts where required.\n\nDocumentation: Write accountant letters for clients on various items, such as Company Solvency.\n\nAdministration & Development\nBilling: Manage time-keeping and invoicing clients for work done.\n\nDevelopment: Attend workshops/seminars to obtain required CPD points and stay current with legislative changes.\n\nGrowth Opportunities: Scope exists to develop skills in independent reviews, business valuations, and income tax.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nQualification: A degree in Accounting is mandatory. A related professional qualification and membership of an accounting body (such as SAIPA) is preferred or must be actively working towards this.\n\nExperience: 3-5 years’ experience in financial accounting and audit.\n\nSoftware: Experience with Draftworx or similar financial reporting software is required.\n\nKey Skills:\nAttention to detail and deadline focused.\n\nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written).\n\nAbility to work independently under high levels of pressure.\n\nMust be a collaborative team player.\n\nLocation and Conditions:\nWork Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid role, requiring the employee to work in the office at least once per week for team engagement.\n\nOffice Base: The office is located in the Northern Suburbs (Durbanville Area) of Cape Town.\n\nLeave: 15 annual leave days.\n\nOvertime: Periodic overtime is required due to statutory deadlines.\n\nContract: Includes a 3-month probation period.\nHow to Apply:\nIf you are a capable and driven SAIPA Accountant:\nSend your comprehensive CV to the Hire Resolve team.
