Cybersecurity and Information Security to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape or Johannesburg, Gauteng. \n\nProgramme Leadership and Delivery: \nLead complex, business-critical programmes that deliver strategic change across the organisation and for our clients.\n\nProvide overall programme leadership, coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams.\n\nEnsure delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk management expectations.\n\nTranslate executive-level objectives into executable programme plans.\n\nMaintain delivery momentum across multiple teams and workstreams.\n\nWork on delivery as well as coordinating programmes — this is a hands-on leadership role.\n\nCyber and Information Security: \nDrive the delivery of Information Security and Cyber Security initiatives as a key focus of the role.\n\nEmbed security considerations throughout the programme lifecycle.\n\nApply a strong and current understanding of security frameworks, standards, industry best practices, and governance.\n\nEngage effectively with security, technology, risk, compliance, and business teams.\n\nTranslate technical concepts into clear business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.\n\nChallenge where appropriate to ensure security requirements are met.\n\nApply SOC standards and governance requirements across programmes.\n\nGovernance Risk and Reporting: \nManage programme-level governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.\n\nProvide clear and transparent reporting to senior stakeholders.\n\nEnsure strong governance ability across all programme activities.\n\nApply Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate.\n\nMaintain oversight of regulatory, operational resilience, and risk management expectations.\n\nStakeholder Management: \nEngage effectively with senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders.\n\nInfluence and challenge senior leaders where necessary.\n\nBuild confidence in programme delivery across the organisation.\n\nCommunicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.\n\nManage competing priorities and navigate high levels of ambiguity.\n\nOperate effectively across global time zones and various cultures.\n\nMethodologies: \nApply the most appropriate delivery methodology — Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid.\n\nUtilise portfolio and delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Microsoft Project.\n\nDemonstrate exceptional organisational, planning, and communication skills.\n\nEnsure fluency in English, both written and spoken.\n\nRequirements: \nMinimum 5 years' experience operating as a Programme Manager, leading large-scale programmes comprising multiple projects and workstreams.\n\nStrong prior background in Project Management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex change initiatives.\n\nSignificant experience delivering Information Security and/or Cyber Security programmes, with demonstrable knowledge of current security standards, frameworks, and industry best practices.\n\nAbility to engage effectively with security, technology, risk, compliance, and business teams, translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.\n\nProven experience managing programme-level governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders and build confidence in programme delivery.\n\nExperience working in fast-paced, complex environments with competing priorities and high levels of ambiguity.\n\nStrong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches, with the judgement to apply the most appropriate methodology.\n\nNice to have: \nExperience delivering change within Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, Fund Administration, FinTech, or other regulated environments.\n\nFamiliarity with regulatory, operational resilience, information security, or cyber security requirements applicable to financial institutions.\n\nExperience leading large-scale transformation, integration, migration, or onboarding programmes.\n\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar portfolio and delivery management tools.\n\nContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.\nOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.\nApply for this role today, contact Gaby Turner at Hire Resolve or on LinkedIn.
