time.Requirements:\nBSc Quantity Surveying/BSc Quantity Surveying (Honours)\nProfessionally Registered with the SACQSP\nKnowledge of construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, GCC)\nWinQS proficient\nDimensionX proficient\nMS Office literacy\nResponsibilities:\nManaging costs on a wide variety of new and existing building projects and structures, such as residential developments, sports stadiums, roads and bridges, schools, hospitals, offices, factories and commercial properties.\nUndertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.\nMaintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.\nUnderstanding the implications of health and safety regulations.\nAssisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.\nPerforming risk and value management, cost control and value engineering.\nAdvising on procurement strategy, contract documentation and financial control.\nPreparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, returnable schedules and Preliminaries & General.\nIdentifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.\nPreparing and analysing costing for tenders, tender evaluation, tender adjudication and appointment of contractors and/or sub-contractors.\nAllocating work to subcontractors.\nProviding advice on contractual claims, variation orders, site instructions, escalation and final accounts.\nAnalysing outcomes and writing detailed inception-,progress-, preliminary design-, final design reports. •Valuing completed work and arranging payments.\nAssisting the Bids Department with write-ups to be used for tender purposes for future QS work.\nCalculation of escalation, penalties, monthly payment certificates and the reconciliation of the final account and close-out report.\nPreparation of monthly cost reports / financial reports on projects.\nMeasurement of rentable areas.\nCash-flows.\nTargeted procurement including training and
