The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients is crucial for success in this role.\nResponsibilities:\n\nOversee and supervise construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.\nCoordinate and manage all on-site activities, including site inspections, contractor meetings, and project progress reviews.\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.\nDevelop and implement project plans, including detailed scopes of work, schedules, and resource allocation.\nMonitor and track project expenses, material deliveries, and resource utilization, making necessary adjustments to achieve project deliverables and budget targets.\nCollaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective problem-solving.\nConduct regular site meetings to communicate project updates, resolve issues, and address any concerns raised by stakeholders.\nPrepare and submit regular progress reports to management, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and potential risks to project completion.\nFoster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and high-quality workmanship among site personnel.\nKeep abreast of industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction management, applying relevant knowledge to enhance project outcomes.\nRequirements:\nMinimum of a National Diploma in electrical or mechatronic engineering; BTech preferred (or NQF equivalent)\nProven knowledge of renewable plant management (or similar industrial plant) is required, including:\nDemonstrated knowledge of wind farm systems and operations\nAble to read and understand technical drawings\nExposureto/knowledgeofSCADASystems,HVandMVpowersystems,transformers,solarPVsystem(inverters and PV panels)\n\nExperience in switching LV and MV systems\nWorking knowledge of power system protection\nDemonstrated experience in the maintenance of LV and 33 kV cable systems including fault location anddiagnostics\n\nIdeally, two years’ supervisory experience\nProven excellent safety record OHS Act knowledge - Health and Safety.\nGeneral ERP/CMMS experience is an advantage\nDemonstratedcompetence in the use of Microsoft Office packagesincluding Outlook,Word and Excel isrequired.
