The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing solar energy projects from design to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. This individual will have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in the field of solar energy.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead multiple company projects. Organise the project team to perform work and delegate team members to project tasks. \nManage project deliverables, ensure that projects are delivered on time, set up regular meetings with clients and with direct manager and report back on project performance.\nDevelop analytical tools and reports to manage and improve project performance.\nMaintain and develop internal relationships with all relevant project stakeholders.\nSource and maintain relationships with external service providers and industry information custodians.\nRepresent the company on industry bodies, committees, and associations to ensure that interests are represented.\nKeep abreast with local and global industry trends and design project to comply with the related municipalities\nPrepare method statements and hand over files\nPrepare O&M schedules and arrange appointments and equipment for O&M\nGenerate monthly O&M reports and plan of action if necessary\nEnsure projects are aligned with the Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management.\nManage sub-contractors and suppliers\nDevelop terms of reference for identified projects.\nReport weekly to Operation Manager on all projects\nRequirements:\nBSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering/BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering4-8 years of working experience working with renewable energy industry, preferably in Solar PV.\nStrong analytical problem-solving skills.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong facilitation skills.\nSelf-driven with high motivation for achievement.\nAbility to influence, develop, and maintain strong relationships.\nWell organised and great attention to detail.\nAbility to price projects and manage cash flow\nKnowledge of South African Engineering standards.\nShould be familiar with and understand the OHS Act.\nBe able to design solar PV plants using Helioscope or similar PV design systems and produce\ndetailed designs with BoQ using AUTO CAD or similar to produce GA’s and SLD’s.\nAbility to develop and manage project budgets.\nStrong leadership skills.\nMust have own vehicle and driver’s license.\nWilling to travel and work outside normal hours\nWilling to be away from home for extended periods of time for projects.\nExcellent customer service skills.\n•Strong presentation skills.\nRelevant registration certificate as Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).\n\nBenefits:\nSalary: R360 000 - R540 000\nHire Resolve is a top tier recruiting agency that focuses on placing skilled professionals in permanent positions.
