The individual to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructure that supports the organization’s current and future business objectives. This includes providing technical leadership, fostering operational excellence, aligning network strategy with business goals, and ensuring team development, system reliability, and compliance with security and governance standards.\nResponsibilities:\nLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing security engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.\n\nEnsure high availability and performance of all critical network services.\n\nOversee the design and implementation of secure network, application, and infrastructure architectures to mitigate risks and ensure resilience.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, DevOps, operations) to integrate security measures seamlessly into the organization’s systems.\n\nEnsure security best practices are applied in all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including secure coding, code reviews, and vulnerability assessments.\n\nOversee the implementation of security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR) to ensure real-time detection of threats and anomalies.\n\nBuild strong relationships with internal teams (e.g., IT, DevOps, product) to promote security awareness and drive the implementation of security controls.\n\nEngage with external partners, vendors, and auditors to evaluate third-party risk and ensure security best practices are followed.\n\nRegularly conduct risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.\n\nEnsure continuous vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and remediation of findings across systems and applications.\n\nEnsure the organization’s security practices meet or exceed regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and others.\n\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities, ensure patching, and support audits.\n\nMonitor the security of the organization’s network from threats originating from inside and outside the organization.\n\nDevelop and execute strategic security initiatives aligned with the company’s long-term business goals.\n\n Requirements:Relevant IT Networking and Security Certifications, plus appropriate Diploma\n\nAdvanced Network Security - In-depth understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, and secure network architecture.\n\nEndpoint Protection & EDR Tools - Training on managing and responding to endpoint threats using platforms like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.\n\nSolid understanding of operating systems, networks, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and secure coding practices.\n\nSIEM and Log Analysis - Practical training in security event monitoring and incident detection using tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.\n\nStrong experience with tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.).\n\nPenetration Testing Basics -
