If so, we are looking for a Payroll systems experienced Product Manager / Owner to take the lead! The build is well advanced, but it needs someone with genuine product discipline and deep payroll expertise to finalise the spec, close the gaps and get it ready for customers to use. This is a newly created role, and you would be the first person to bring professional product ownership to it.\n\nLocation: Birmingham area office, mostly remote with occasional time required in the office (So will consider people form across the UK, in general) Very flexible location wise though. Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 basic, plus benefits package.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\nOwn the payroll product end to end: requirements baseline, backlog, roadmap and release plan\nWork day to day with engineering and the internal payroll team, testing changes yourself where needed\nAct as the go-to payroll authority for the teams, from a Product point of view.\nShape the long-term payroll product strategy & roadmap.\n\nWhat you need to bring\nDeep, current UK payroll knowledge - PAYE, NIC, RTI, statutory payments, pensions and auto-enrolment\nDemonstrable product management experience in software: discovery, requirements, backlog ownership and shipping releases\nExperience moving payrolls between systems, including data migration, parallel running and reconciliation would be ideal.\nStrong written communication - comfortable producing specifications others can act on without you in the room\nDesirable: high-volume hourly-paid workforce exposure, and/or CIPP qualification\n\nWhy you'll love this job\nGenuine ownership - you're the first person in this seat, shaping the product from spec through to market leadership\nA rare, genuinely differentiated proposition: workforce management and payroll combined natively in one system\nA small, direct team backed by equity investment, where decisions move fast and the person who owns a product really owns it\n\nIf you combine real payroll depth with strong product craft and want to build something new, we'd love to hear from you.
