The Maintenance Planner plays a key role in keeping our truck and trailer fleet running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating preventive maintenance and repair activities to minimize equipment downtime, improve fleet reliability, and ensure compliance with DOT and company standards. Working closely with operations, technicians, drivers, and external vendors, the Maintenance Planner helps balance maintenance needs with operational demands.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and manage daily maintenance schedules to ensure a consistent workload across maintenance facilities while minimizing driver and equipment downtime.

  • Coordinate with operations teams to route equipment to maintenance hubs and align maintenance plans with business needs.

  • Schedule and track fleet maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, campaigns, equipment renewals, and retirements.

  • Support tractor and trailer replacement programs, vehicle sales, and return processes.

  • Monitor maintenance costs and provide insights to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.

  • Participate in the development and improvement of maintenance programs and processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone with a strong understanding of truck and trailer maintenance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and works well across departments.

Key qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance practices, repair processes, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Familiarity with DOT, FMCSA, and other transportation safety regulations.

  • Experience with fleet maintenance software or CMMS systems (TMT experience is an asset).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • General understanding of trucking operations, North American geography, and industry best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating complex schedules, improving operational efficiency, and making a direct impact on the performance of a large transportation fleet.
