The ideal candidate should have experience working with large-scale customer, transaction, and lending datasets to derive actionable insights and improve decision-making across risk and credit functions.\n\nCandidates from BFSI, FinTech, Payments, Digital Lending, NBFCs, or Banking organizations will be preferred.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Develop and deploy predictive models for credit risk, underwriting, fraud detection, and customer behavior analysis.\n\n- Identify and engineer behavioral signals from customer, transaction, device, and engagement data.\n\n- Build risk scorecards and machine learning models to improve underwriting and credit decisioning.\n\n- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and risk indicators.\n\n- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Credit, and Business teams to translate business problems into data science solutions.\n\n- Design and evaluate model performance using statistical techniques and machine learning methodologies.\n\n- Conduct A/B testing and model validation exercises.\n\n- Monitor model performance and recommend enhancements to improve prediction accuracy.\n\n- Develop dashboards, reports, and insights to support business decision-making.\n\n- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications :\n\n- 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning.\n\n- Strong understanding of behavioral signals, risk modeling, underwriting, fraud analytics, or credit scoring.\n\n- Experience working with customer, transactional, lending, or financial datasets.\n\n- Proficiency in Python and SQL.\n\n- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.\n\n- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and related tools.\n\n- Experience building and evaluating classification, regression, and risk prediction models.\n\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Background :\n\n- Experience in BFSI, FinTech, Payments, Banking, NBFCs, Digital Lending, or InsurTech organizations.\n\n- Exposure to credit underwriting, loan origination, collections analytics, or fraud detection.\n\n- Experience working with alternative data sources and behavioral data signals.\n\n- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems is a plus.\n\nSkills\nData Science, Machine Learning, SQL, Python, Quantitative Risk Management, Fraud Analytics, Pandas, Numpy","description_format":"text","description_chars":2664,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T22:00:00Z"}],"liveness":{"score":29,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.621,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":21,"expected_fill_days":15,"reasons":["seen:21","win:tail","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/hiring-infinity-data-scientist","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/hiring-infinity-data-scientist.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T00:58:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":718,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4282,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
