Candidates should have hands-on experience building scalable, reliable, production-grade data pipelines and modern data platforms.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and processing.\nBuild and optimize ETL/ELT workflows integrating data from multiple sources.\nDevelop data processing solutions using Python, SQL and PySpark.\nWork with large datasets using Apache Spark.\nDesign and maintain data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouse solutions.\nImplement data quality checks, validation, monitoring and error handling.\nOptimize pipeline performance, scalability and reliability.\nWork with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.\nCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers and business stakeholders.\nFollow best practices for data security, governance, Git, CI/CD and documentation.\n\nRequired Skills\n6–8 years of relevant Data Engineering experience.\nStrong proficiency in Python and SQL.\nHands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development.\nExperience with Apache Spark and PySpark.\nKnowledge of data warehousing, data lakes and data modelling.\nExperience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure or GCP.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server or similar databases.\nFamiliarity with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.\nUnderstanding of star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs).\nKnowledge of data quality, pipeline optimization and performance tuning.\nFamiliarity with Git and CI/CD practices.\n\nGood-to-Have Skills\nDatabricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.\nParquet and columnar data formats.\nKafka or other streaming technologies.\nDelta Lake and lakehouse architecture.\nDocker and data pipeline deployment practices.\n\nEducation\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.\n\nHiringhood Phygital Matchday – Selection Process\nOnline Registration: Register for the Data Engineer opportunity.\nPreliminary Online MCQ: Complete the initial technical assessment.
