It is a place where you can truly make a difference and develop beyond the day job.Service is at the centre of what we do so we are looking for service orientated individuals who put the customer first and are empowered and equipped to make their own decisions on claims and give a level of customer service others revere.\nThe team and Team Leaders are invested in both personal and technical development, are trusting, straight-talking and uncompromising when it comes to service.\nThis is a hybrid role, with two days a week in the office (Colchester or York) and three days working from home\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nDelivering world class customer service daily, respecting the Hiscox claims philosophy and personifying our values\nHandling telephone calls from policyholders, brokers, third parties, loss adjusters and other experts on new and existing claims and identifying key triggers requiring escalation or additional review\nTaking claim notifications over the phone directly from customers and progress their claim in the most appropriate manner\nReviewing and confirming Hiscox’s policy coverage position\nNegotiating and settling claims fairly and proactively with an emphasis on prompt resolution, indemnity spend and ensuring the customer is kept informed\nFollowing a defined process and ensuring information is recorded in a clear and consistent manner with clear thought process and next steps planning\nMeeting and exceeding pre-defined SLAs/targets\nDemonstrating excellent file handling and claims management through pro-active portfolio management; accurate and timely reserving; effective risk and indemnity costs management\nWworking unsupervised and showing initiative in your claims handling approach; understand that each customer is different and be able to adapt your style accordingly\nPromoting and delivering a continuous improvement culture within the UK Property Claims team to deliver a superior customer experience, by identifying areas of opportunity and helping crease innovative solutions.\nRole modelling the Hiscox brand and our values at all times\nOur must-haves:\nExperience within a customer centric environment\nCollaborative and supportive, stepping up when volumes are high without compromising service.\nA genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service\nCalm and works well under pressure\nAbility to evidence strong organisational and time management skills\nA self-motivated, adaptable approach with a positive response to change\nOutstanding communication skills - face-to-face, written and telephone including excellent listening skills\nExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and long lasting relationships within the team, the wider business and with external partners\nHighly results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in an environment where the pace and quality of response is critical to success\nOur nice to haves:\nWorking toward CII qualifications, or willingness to start\nExperience within Insurance and/or claims\nGood knowledge of Excel, Word and Copilot\nDiversity and flexible working at Hiscox\nAt Hiscox we care about our people.
