You will focus on servicing the Group level financial reporting requirements and form close working relationships with the wider Finance team, as well as the Finance Directors and Controllers across the Hiscox business units.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduce and present high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS and Solvency II regulatory guidance.\n\nMaintain and enhance the financial control environment with regards to Group consolidation reporting activities and the broader financial control framework.\n\nProactively manage strong internal and external stakeholder relationships\n\nStreamline, automate and enhance finance processes, by leveraging technology enablers, personal experience, external insights and best practice.\n\nChampion and support Head of Group Financial Reporting in developing a continuous improvement culture utilising external insights and best practice.\n\nActively support both Finance and Group-wide projects relevant to the role\n\nSupport and drive a culture of excellence across the wider Financial Control team\n\nSkills/ Qualifications/ Experience require:\nFully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)\n\nGood technical and financial reporting knowledge within the financial services sector (preferably the insurance sector)\n\nAbility to constructively challenge and analyse results\n\nHands on approach and a keen eye for detail\n\nGood problem solving skills\n\nGood understanding of group consolidation principles and financial reporting systems (preferably Oracle)\n\nStrong control mindset and experience\n\nExperience of delivering change and continuously improving\n\nReporting Relationships/ Interactions:\nReports to the Head of Group Financial Reporting\n\nMaintain constructive and supportive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including the Finance Senior Leadership team, our Regulators and external Auditors\n\nFlexible working at Hiscox:\nWorking life doesn’t always have to be ‘nine to five’ and we support flexible working wherever we can.
