This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.\nTo be part of this project, we are looking for Software & M&C Senior Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:\nResponsibilitiesAnalyse and trade off critical Ground Segment requirements and flow them down to Monitoring and Control (M&C) and Supervision systems.\nDefine M&C and Supervision requirements for Ground Segment infrastructure and services.\nDefine the high-level software architecture for the monitoring and control of infrastructure, and for the supervision and reporting of services.\nDefine implementation and test plans for the proposed software subsystems.\nPerform the technical follow-up of subcontractor activities related to design, requirements compliance, development and validation of the subsystems.\nSupport the higher-level integration of subcontractor software subsystems into the overall Ground Segment.\nDuring the operational phase, act as the technical point of contact for anomalies and support their technical resolution.\nMinimum requirementsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n3 to 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering for telecommunications or complex ground infrastructure.\nStrong experience with Linux-based systems.\nExperience with networking and distributed systems.\nKnowledge of virtualisation and cloud platforms.\nExperience in software architecture, implementation planning, testing and system integration.\nKnowledge of satellite communications.\nExperience in managing or technically coordinating technology projects and subcontractors.\nNationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.\nLocationArganda del Rey, Madrid, Spain.\nAt Hispasat we promote equal opportunities and an inclusive environment.
