This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.\nTo be part of this project, we are looking for System Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:\nResponsibilitiesPerform satellite constellation and spacecraft systems-engineering activities for the IRIS² Low LEO programme.\nPrepare technical inputs to Satellite and Launch Services RFPs and support technical evaluations and supplier selection.\nSupport technical and contractual negotiations for satellite and launch-service procurements.\nCoordinate and follow satellite design, manufacturing, integration and testing activities at unit, subsystem and system levels.\nPrepare for and participate in system, subsystem, equipment and programme reviews with manufacturers, suppliers and institutional stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with applicable requirements, standards and regulatory constraints and maintain key system budgets and interfaces.\nSupport launch-campaign preparation and execution, Launch and Early Operations Phase and commissioning activities.\nSupport the Satellite In-Orbit Test campaign and assess on-orbit satellite health and performance.\nInvestigate system-level anomalies and coordinate technical resolution and follow-up actions.\nPrepare regular technical status and progress reports.\nMinimum requirementsMaster's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field.\nAt least 10 years of relevant experience in satellite or spacecraft systems engineering.\nExperience in satellite procurement, manufacturing or in-orbit operations for GEO or LEO missions.\nExperience in large European Union or ESA programmes.\nStrong knowledge of satellite equipment and subsystems, system budgets, interfaces and telecommunications analyses.\nExperience in requirements engineering and system-level verification and validation.\nKnowledge of launch services, satellite manufacturing and Assembly, Integration and Test.\nExperience with launch campaigns, LEOP and Satellite In-Orbit Testing.\nKnowledge of Ground Station operations and network management is considered an asset.\nExperience with Python or MATLAB is considered an asset.\nNationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.\nLocationArganda del Rey, Madrid, Spain.\nAt Hispasat we promote equal opportunities and an inclusive environment.
