And that’s where you come in.\nJob Description:\nThe Application Support and Automation Analyst will provide Tier 2/3 support and lead automation delivery across multiple enterprise engineering platforms. The role combines hands-on technical work, including Python-based automation, DXL audit scripting, platform customization through Jenkins pipelines, and REST API-driven audits and reporting, with delivery leadership responsibilities such as sprint planning, task estimation, code review, and resource coordination. They independently manage the full lifecycle of automation initiatives while maintaining service quality and SLA compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide Tier 2/3 support for IBM DOORS, Jira, Siemens Polarion, and TMSD (C# internal application).\n\nDevelop Python automation scripts using the Jira SDK to automatically fulfill service requests.\n\nCustomize Siemens Polarion using Python scripts and Jenkins pipeline integrations.\n\nWrite DXL scripts to audit IBM DOORS data for compliance and quality reporting.\n\nBuild Python REST API scripts to audit enterprise engineering platforms and persist results to a database.\n\nAdminister Jira and Jira Service Management, including workflows, automation rules, SLAs, and portal configuration.\n\nTroubleshoot and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.\n\nLead sprint planning activities, including task creation, story point assignment, progress tracking, and delivery management.\n\nConduct code reviews for all automation deliverables before production deployment.\n\nDocument procedures, scripts, and configurations.\n\nKey Requirements\n5+ years of relevant industry experience in application support, platform engineering, or a technical lead role.\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n\nProficiency in Python (Jira SDK, REST APIs), Groovy, DXL, Bash, and basic C#.\n\nHands-on experience with Jira and Jira Service Management administration and customization.\n\nPractical experience with Jenkins pipeline configuration and troubleshooting.\n\nExperience with IBM DOORS and Siemens Polarion support and customization.\n\nWorking knowledge of SQL and database operations for operational reporting.\n\nStrong Agile delivery skills, including sprint planning, estimation, and backlog grooming.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nITIL, PMP, or Atlassian certifications are considered an asset.\n\nAdvanced DXL scripting for IBM DOORS audits and workflow automation.\n\nExperience with Polarion ALM customization using Python and Jenkins in an enterprise environment.\n\nAgile or ITSM certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL v4).\n\nExperience managing resources across distributed or global teams.\n\nExperience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, Groovy, DXL (DOORS), or similar technologies.\n\nExperience and knowledge of Platform Engineering.\n\nExperience in a similar role within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\n\nBase Salary Range : $84,000 - $127,000\nThe Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:\nHealth, Dental and Vision plans - 100% of premiums are company-paid \nRetirement Savings Plan with a company match\nCompany paid holidays - 3 weeks of vacation\nCompany provided Life and accident Insurance, LTD \nWorklife programs such as Flextime and a variety of Development and Training opportunities \nThis posting relates to an existing vacancy.\nOur hiring process uses both human and technology-assisted (AI) tools to support candidate screening and assessment.
