To support Project Management and others in the delivery of the civil works during design & construction\nThe position is (Remote based), with travel as required.\nHow you’ll make an impact\nManaging civil engineering tendering:\nReviewing client ITTs\nDeveloping civil engineering strategies including producing scope of works\nEngaging consultants and contractors through the Supply Chain Management function\nCoordinating the production of tender deliverables\nIdentifying key risks and opportunities - developing mitigating actions and ensuring adequate provisions are made\nUndertaking due diligence on documentation prior to client contract signing\nUndertaking supplier quotation assessment, qualification and alignments\nAssisting supply chain and commercial functions in the drafting of subcontracts (predominantly NEC3)\nSupporting Project Management function including identifying Early Warning Notifications to customers and developing Compensation Events submissions where required.\nReviewing subcontractor EWNs and consequential Compensation Events, implementing mitigating measures where appropriate\nReviewing external civil designs to ensure specification compliance, SHESQ, constructability and value has been considered\nEnsuring external designers implement client and HITACHI technical and procedural requirements\nOffering expertise in client specifications, procedures, design codes and industry best practice\nDeveloping and leading initiatives for improvements and efficiencies for civil delivery\nUndertaking Civil Project Engineer duties on specific schemes where required\nOverall responsibility for the unit’s management of Temporary Works and compliance to BS 5975 and customer processes including enacting the role of the Designated Individual\nYour background\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering\nChartered Status with ICE, IStructE or CIOB\nMinimum 5 years’ experience working within T&D sector\nExperience within civil design environment\nExperience of work winning including risk identification and mitigation\nGood teamwork, analytical and communication skills\nCapable of working to tight time scales\nMore about us\nWe believe great work thrives in an environment where people feel genuinely supported and fairly rewarded.
