Description:\nThe opportunity:\nResponsible for all aspects of contract management from tendering to the final execution, keeping to internal company guidelines, governance procedures and supporting business growth.\nHow you'll make an impact:\nYou will ensure the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. \nYou will review and comments on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, develop contract strategy based on Hitachi’s policies, customer requirements and the overall execution strategy taking into account risk, pricing, scope, and schedule. \nYou will identify the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlights areas of potential risk, ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (i.e. payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.).\nYou will establish and enforce standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts to identify changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due to Hitachi per the contract, define approval requirements and communicate change to the customer.\nYou will enforce and defend Hitachi's contractual interests against customer and suppliers during the whole of a project life cycle, including monitoring and assessment of change and deviation, as well as defending and enforcing claim.\nIn concert with Legal, you will develop the negotiation strategy and support negotiations, support Legal handling formal dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration, notify and liaise with Legal to report major claim and keep legal updated of any critical development during project execution. \nYou will support drafting of Purchase Orders, contract and subcontract, ensure that relevant (sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect Hitachi’s interest, including flow-down of main contract terms. \nYou will analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts, as work proceeds, seek advice from legal to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the Sales and Project Execution phases. \nYou will develop and a Contract Management role with an EPC or major electrical manufacturer and supplier.\nKnowledge of relevant local contracting Standards and International (e.g. FIDIC, Orgalime) standards.\nCommercial, pragmatic mindset.\nAdaptable, pro-active and willing to learn.\nCollaborative team player well-versed in stakeholder management within a matrix organization\nExcellent English
