And that’s where you come in.\nJob Description:\nHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Deployment Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Oakland, California.\nAccountabilities:\nOversee the deployment phase of the CBTC project, ensuring efficient and timely implementation.\nCoordinate with Hitachi Rail teams and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones. \nReviews the overall planning of project activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.\nProvides and presents project status reviews to client to be the primary contact for client in relation to the deployment activities.\nCreate and maintain a strong client relationship.\nRepresent the Project at site coordination meetings with the Client and liaise with various project entities, third parties and/or stakeholders.\nParticipate in reporting to the Project Manager and VP of Construction on the progress and status of work, forecasting risks and opportunities and reporting any deviations of scope, schedule, cost or quality to the Project Manager to maintain the commercial position of the project.\nEnsure the project is performed to the standard safety and quality assurance requirements.\nFollow the work progress of all Construction activities to accurately oversee Hitachi and Subcontractor quality standards, in collaboration with the quality manager.\nEnsure compliance with the Approved for Construction Design and the management of any non-conformances in accordance with the Quality Plan.\nCoordinate with the Commissioning Manager for handover of the installed system and subsequent test, commissioning and start-up activities.\nDefining the execution of the commissioning activities (sequence of activities, optimization of the use of resources) in alignment with contract requirements, budget and company guidelines\nOverseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of Test Procedure\nAccountable for the site interface management with the Client/Engineer/Third parties during the test and commissioning phase\nRequired Skills/ Knowledge:\nProven experience as a Deployment Manager in rail or transportation projects for no less the 5-7 years\nFamiliarity with CBTC systems and associated technologies\nStrong organizational and leadership skills\nEffective communication and collaboration abilities\nDemonstrated experience in managing subcontractors and key stakeholders on projects\nAbility to familiarize with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of the project.\nDetailed knowledge of Design-Build projects.\nUnderstanding of Construction and commissioning quality standards \nSuccessfully handle pressures associated with site works in a brown field environment.\nAbility to maintain the integrity of confidential business information.\nDesired Skills/ Knowledge:\nConstruction and installation of rail transit systems or other complex systems in urban environments.\nEffective Partnering and Teaming skills.\nTechnical writing.\nConstruction Management software knowledge such as procore.\nMS Office tools.\nEducation:\nEngineering or industrial management background. Relevant knowledge to ensure that the company is producing high-quality installation and documents that meet customer expectations.\nCertification required - State of California (license C-10 and A-10)\nLanguages:\nWritten and spoken English proficiency.\nIn accordance with the DOT’s FRA and FTA programs, Hitachi’s substance screening program tests pre-employment candidates and current employees, as required for safety-sensitive positions.\nThe salary range for this position is $148,212- $222,318 per year.
