The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. And that’s where you come in.\nAccountabilities \nThe main accountabilities include, but are not limited to:\nPrepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components\nAnalyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers\nPrepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.)\nPerform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency\nConduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers \nAttend at system stand-alone type test and review type test reports\nSupport manufacturing, testing and validation phases\nReview design documentation with customers and suppliers\nPrepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration\nPrepare Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics\nEnsure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards and project constraints (time, cost, quality)\nPrepare the documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase\nRequired Skills/ Knowledge\nExperience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments\nGood knowledge of main railway regulations and standards\nGood knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool\nGood knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations\nKnowledge of traction systems and power converters\nKnowledge of RAMS principles and processes\nGood knowledge of electrotechnics and electronics disciplines\nGood knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies\nGood knowledge of electrical CAD tools (E3 preferred)\nGood knowledge of electrical components (relays, circuit brakers, cables, connectors, etc.)\nGood knowledge of electrical schematics design\nGood knowledge of electrical machine design principles\nGood knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD).\nGood knowledge of thermal and electromagnetic analysis\nGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment\nStrong planning and organizational skills, alongside team-working and problem-solving mindset\nAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)\nAbility to work within project teams under minimum supervision\nAvailability for occasional short-term national and international business trips\nDesired Skills/ Knowledge\nFast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments\nGood business acumen combined with solid technical skills\nGood communication and interpersonal skills\nEducation/Qualifications\nMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics disciplines preferred).\nLanguages\nKnowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).\n“Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.”\nProponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000 € e 46.000 €\nThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
