And that’s where you come in.\nJob Description:\nYour new role\nWe're looking for a talented Electrical Engineer with strong electrical schematic design experience to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, safety-critical rail projects that are shaping the future of sustainable transportation.\nAs part of a collaborative, international engineering environment, you'll play a key role in the design, development, and integration of electrical systems, ensuring robust, compliant, and innovative solutions are delivered throughout the product lifecycle. You'll have the opportunity to influence projects from concept through to production, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and customers.\nSome key responsibilities\nDevelop, integrate and maintain detailed electrical schematics and system designs using computer-aided engineering tools.\nDesign and size electrical wiring systems, cable routes and electrical networks in line with technical requirements and industry standards.\nSelect and specify electromechanical components including relays, contactors, connectors and circuit breakers.\nSupport the definition and development of electrical system architectures and conceptual solutions.\nEnsure designs comply with railway standards, safety regulations and engineering best practice.\nPerform electrical system calculations, cable dimensioning and protection coordination activities.\nSupport manufacturing, industrial engineering and production teams during vehicle assembly and testing.\nCollaborate with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.\nContribute to technical investigations, problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.\nAbout you\nYou'll be a proactive and technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and takes pride in producing high-quality electrical documentation.\nWe're particularly interested in candidates who have:\nA degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or a related Engineering discipline.\nProven experience producing and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.\nExperience within rail, transportation, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or other electromechanical engineering environments.\nKnowledge of electrical design software, ideally E3.series (Zuken) or similar schematic design tools.\nUnderstanding of electrical system sizing, cable calculations, protection devices and electrical distribution systems.\nKnowledge of relays, contactors, circuit breakers and electrical protection schemes.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.\nThe ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.\nWhy join us?\nThis is more than just a schematic design role.
