Travel may include domestic and/or international customer, supplier, and JR Automation locations.\nRole Overview\nThe Electrical Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Electrical Department while ensuring the successful execution of automation projects through effective planning, resource management, and team leadership. This role oversees daily electrical operations, supports project execution, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nDirectly supervise the Electrical Team and other staff.\nWork cross-functionally with all departments.\nPlan, direct, organize, and control the build process and related costs.\nEnsure that changes and problems are documented and communicated.\nSupport Project Managers with customer service, runoffs, planning, and status reporting.\nStrive to achieve the highest level of performance from team members based on their individual abilities.\nSupport, promote, and execute company initiatives.\nProvide timely customer service to both internal and external customers.\nCommunicate technical information and critical processes to the project team.\nManage daily operations by planning the use of materials and resources while considering the needs of the broader business unit.\nSupport the quoting team by providing input on concepts, labor hours, and material costs.\nEstablish and maintain a teamwork-focused culture through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement, and training.\nReview performance data to evaluate productivity, efficiency, and utilization and identify opportunities for improvement.\nDrive process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.\nSet employee expectations and provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to ensure team members meet company standards.\nDevelop the Electrical Department through leadership, mentoring, and training.\nDemonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivery.\nAddress current and future staffing needs and participate in the interviewing process.\nConduct regular team meetings to communicate workload expectations, hours, company updates, and policy changes.\nNote: This list of responsibilities is intended as a guideline and is not all-inclusive.\nWhat You'll Bring\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required, along with five years of electrical experience; related vocational education and a Journeyman's card are preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nComprehensive knowledge of schematic interpretation, panel building, machine wiring, and troubleshooting.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.\nStrong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives with varying priorities.\nProven ability to accept and provide direction, establish expectations, and hold team members accountable for meeting timing, budget, and customer requirements.\nThree or more years of experience providing mentorship and leadership.\nAbility to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working on, beneath, and around machinery.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as required.\nAbility to obtain Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane certifications while employed at JR Automation.\nAbility to travel up to 20% of the time, including domestic and international travel depending on project requirements.\nCurrent or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry, is strongly preferred.\nDisclaimer\nJR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.\nCompany Overview\nAt JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
