Join us as a Fabricator.\nLocation Type: Onsite in Holland, Michigan\nWhy Join Us?\nCompetitive wages, medical benefits starting on your first day, and paid parental leave\nOpportunity to work on unique, custom automation projects\nA collaborative, engineering-driven environment\nCareer growth and skill development opportunities\nA role where craftsmanship and quality truly matter\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nPrepare, weld, and fabricate ferrous and non-ferrous metals.\nUse fabrication tools and equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, torches, plasma cutters, grinders, clamps, and other tools.\nRead and interpret blueprints to complete work accurately.\nIdentify different types of steel and communicate discrepancies or concerns.\nOrganize and maintain the work area in accordance with 5S standards.\nSupport Skilled Trades, Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams in the design, build, programming, and deployment of custom automated equipment and solutions.\nProvide support to other business units and work areas as needed.\nNote: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.\nOne year of prior industrial experience is preferred; two years of vocational training is also preferred.\nAbility to pass and work within AWS D1.1 qualifications.\nAbility to pass the annual Chromium (VI) medical certification and participate in the annual Chromium (VI) protection training program.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and identify different types of steel.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to identify and communicate discrepancies.\nCurrent or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry, is strongly preferred.\nAbility to maintain a steady work pace while bending, kneeling, lifting, and loading machines.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as required.\nAbility to obtain Hi-Lo (forklift), aerial platform, and overhead crane licenses, along with Lockout/Tagout training, while employed at JR Automation.\nAbility to provide personal hand tools and a toolbox suitable for the role.
