Using your initiative to identify new service opportunities for Hitachi Energy.\nHow you'll make an impact\nYou’ll be playing a key role within a team of knowledgeable and experienced engineers/technicians undertaking and coordinating service activities on site, whilst keeping a close eye on health and safety and quality standards, schedules, and progress reporting to ensure customer satisfaction.\nResponsible for Transformer service activities as well on shore as off shore including installation and commissioning, device replacements, routine maintenance, inspections, and identifying problems to assist with providing analysis for recommendations.\nCoordinate all delivered parts, materials, and components for each project and optimise the use of your resources to meet delivery and performance targets as effectively as possible.\nLead jobs from start to finish under the direction of the project manager, to meet clients’ requirements.\nMaintain project site documentation and checklists, prepare reports, and help to resolve any issues on site. You’ll provide feedback to assist with identifying and recommending effective new solutions to help meet business and/or customer needs.\nApply all safety rules and follow safe practices, as well as keep environmental responsibilities in mind. But you’ll also assess and highlight hazards and implement actions to ensure the safety of both people and equipment.\nYour Background\nTechnical education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nProven experience in the installation, maintenance, servicing, or commissioning of industrial equipment or machinery; experience with power transformers is considered a strong advantage.\nPrevious experience leading operational teams, as well as practical knowledge of the construction, installation, testing, and measurement of power transformers, will be an asset.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics.\nHands-on experience with installation, testing, and measurement equipment.\nGood command of English, enabling effective communication in an international working environment.\nWillingness to undertake frequent and extended work delegations (typically 3-8 weeks at a time), both domestically and internationally.\nStrong sense of responsibility for personal and team safety, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to work. Ability to perform effectively in demanding environments and manage priorities under pressure.\nRequires Developing Digital and Data Fluency - good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
