This role is responsible for team leadership, coaching, training, utilization, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. The manager owns the group’s P&L, budgets, revenue projections, and cost controls while using performance data to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. They also build strong customer relationships, support quoting and sales initiatives, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve products and services. The ideal candidate brings 5-10 years of customer management experience, proven team leadership, and strong automation, mechanical, and electrical knowledge within a manufacturing environment.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nPlan, direct, organize and control the Engineering Services operations and related costs of a customer focused organization.\nManage the daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources to meet customer requirements for engineering services while also considering the needs of the business.\nReview financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.\nProvide feedback to relevant internal stakeholders to improve JRA products and services.\nCommunicate to the customer relative aspects of the service/build process as they relate to timing, quality, and cost.\nDrive process improvements in the organization and work area to optimize efficiency.\nReview market analyses to determine customer needs and volume potential and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of the Company.\nRepresent the Company at trade associate meetings to promote JRA Customer Services.\nProvide input into the financial planning process including headcount, revenue projections and expenditures.\nAnalyze and control expenditures of organization to conform to budgetary requirements.\nCoordinate with Customer Service Business Development Manager and sales teams to achieve sales targets.\nCommunicate JR policies per the company handbook and hold employees accountable to meeting company expectations.\nSet employee expectations and provide feedback and coaching to employees consistently throughout the year, and during annual performance reviews.\nFoster a teamwork culture through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement, and training.\nStrive to achieve the highest level of performance from team members as it relates to their individual skillsets and abilities.\nManage the group P&L and be aware of all related costs.\nManage Training budget and ensure the team is highly and properly trained.\nMaintain a high utilization per established budget.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with existing and future customers.\nAssist with Quotes as needed to develop solutions specific to customer needs.\nLimited travel may be required - up to 35%.\nNote: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\n5-10 years of experience in customer Management\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nExperience working in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong Automation, mechanical and electrical knowledge\nProven record of successfully leading a team\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\nExperience in Automation or Robotics preferred.\nExperience in Controls is desirable.\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred.\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\nSitting or standing for prolonged periods.\nDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.\nCompany Overview:\nAt JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
