The position also requires the maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting of simulators and automated test equipment.\nKey Areas of Responsibility\nWork closely with the design engineering team to document the designs and test procedures associated with simulators and automated hardware test equipment\nTake an active role in managing the process utilized to approve and release the documentation in a PLM system\nWork with Component Engineering to request part numbers for new components to be incorporated in the simulator and automated hardware tester design\nWork closely with engineering to support the upgrade, modification and assembly of simulators and automated hardware test systems\nSupport the validation and debugging of simulators utilizing LabView and TestStand\nRequired Skills and Experience\nThe successful candidate should be working towards an Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Science, or Engineering Physics degree).\nCompletion of the third year of an undergraduate program.\nStrong written and oral communication skills and familiarity with project-based work environments.\nKnowledge of mechanical component specifications and engineering drawings.\nExperience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD (an asset).\nExperience with schematics\nExperience with schematic software, such OrCAD (as asset)\nAbility to work independently, multitask, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nStrong conceptual thinking skills with the ability to understand the “big picture” and apply critical thinking to problem-solving.\nHigh attention to detail and curiosity to understand activity criticality.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.\nSelf-starter with a proactive mindset.\nAble to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the internship. During the two weeks, the intern is expected to be onsite five days per week. From the third week onward, 2-5 onsite days per week are required depending on team needs.
