In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of all operations. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing robust HSE policies and practices to identify and mitigate hazards in manufacturing and maintenance activities. You will lead initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards, and support the factory’s sustainability and carbon neutrality goals.\nHow you’ll make an impact :\nConducting inspections, safety observation tours, and audits across production lines, assembly areas, and maintenance workshops.\n\nEnsuring and monitoring HSE legal requirements on regular basis with all the legal authorities\n\nPreparing the fire risk assessment and operational plan and good knowledge about the fire pump station and fire protection equipment.\n\nSupporting businesses in meeting the HSE KPIs, develop and drive HSE strategic actions\n\nImplementing and maintaining the HSE Management System aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Hitachi Energy global standards.\n\nManaging change and risk assessment and environmental aspect and impact assessment.\n\nPerforming risk assessments (ABRA) and LSR self-assessments for all factory operations, including electrical and mechanical processes.\n\nProviding technical guidance on machinery safety compliance and support implementation of Machinery Safety Standards.\n\nCompiling all NCs, prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCRs.\n\nProviding advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety.\n\nLeading initiatives for hazardous materials management, including preparing manifests for disposal and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.\n\nDelivering induction and job-specific HSE training for employees and contractors according to the training calendar.\n\nInvestigating incidents and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and drive correct and preventive actions.\n\nPromoting employee engagement and safety awareness campaigns to strengthen the safety culture.\n\nSupporting the factory’s carbon neutrality program and sustainability objectives.\n\nYou will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.\n\nGood knowledge of Egyptian legal requirements related to HSE and to be covered absolutely in full compliance.\n\nLiving Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.\n\nYour background\nA bachelor’s degree in science and engineering.\n\n10-12 years of experience in field of HSE\n\nNEBOSH IGC Certified.\n\nRecognized certificate in HSE\n\nProficiency in both spoken & written in English language is required.\n\nAccessibility and reasonable accommodation\nQualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
