The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for an Incoming Quality Technician (junior) to join our team in Lodi. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections and quality tests on incoming materials, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy specifications, delivery instructions, quality standards, applicable international standards, and customer requirements.
You will become part of our High Voltage Business Unit, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of high-voltage equipment and instrument transformers, including GIS, PASS & TG, and VT solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact
Verify that materials received from suppliers comply with engineering drawings, Hitachi Energy standards, delivery instructions, applicable international standards, and customer specifications.
Perform dimensional inspections and mechanical or electrical testing in the Incoming Quality Laboratory.
Conduct inspections and supervise routine acceptance tests at local supplier sites when required.
Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records for inspected materials.
Open, manage, and follow up on non-conformities identified during incoming inspections.
Support urgent production requests by prioritizing and executing material inspections in a timely manner.
Perform inspections and testing activities required for the qualification of new components and suppliers, including PPAP activities.
Support Operation Quality and Customer Quality teams in the inspection of defective materials identified in production lines or at customer sites, contributing to initial root cause investigations.
Collaborate closely with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure clear communication of quality requirements and non-conformities.
Apply standard processes, procedures, and quality tools relevant to the area of responsibility.
Ensure all inspection and testing activities comply with safety regulations, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.

Your Background
Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering disciplines.
Basic understanding of quality inspection processes and quality management principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with measurement instruments and testing equipment is considered an advantage.
Knowledge of quality tools, non-conformity management, and PPAP processes is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Good knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
Willingness to occasionally travel to supplier locations.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
Starting from: 32,200 € gross annual
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
