This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience, looking to kick-start their career in Human Factors within one of the world's leading rail technology organisations.\nIf you're eager to learn, keen to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects, and excited by the prospect of building a long-term career with a company committed to your development, we'd love to hear from you.\nYour New Role\nAs a Junior Human Factors Engineer, you'll support Human Factors activities across our Signalling & Rail Solutions and Vehicles businesses, working alongside experienced specialists on projects that directly impact the future of rail transportation.\nFrom supporting bids and helping secure new work, through to contributing to the design and delivery of major programmes, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle while developing your technical expertise and professional network.\nExample projects may include:\nDigital rail and signalling solutions.\nTrain modifications and the integration of new onboard equipment.\nSafety and operational training support\nHuman Factors assessments and evaluations across complex rail environments.\nThis is a role designed to develop your career. You'll receive support from experienced colleagues, opportunities to work with multidisciplinary teams, and encouragement to progress towards professional registration and Chartered Human Factors Practitioner status. Our experienced team will be able to provide mentoring and professional development.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nSupport Human Factors work packages across a variety of rail sector projects.\nWork with internal stakeholders, customers and project teams to understand and capture Human Factors requirements\nEvaluate Human Factors issues and contribute to potential solutions and recommendation.\nSupport bid and proposal activities, gaining exposure to business development and work winning processes.\nCollaborate with wider disciplines including safety, training, business change and user experience teams.\nAbout You\nWe're looking for someone with enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine passion for Human Factors, ensuring what we design meets end user needs.\nYou may be at the beginning of your career, but you'll be eager to learn, comfortable working with technical information and excited about applying Human Factors principles to real-world engineering challenges.\nYou'll likely have:\nA degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics or a related discipline.
