The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy to date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.\nHow you’ll make an impact:\nYou will be a part of the GIS Steel Structural Engineering team, you will be supporting as project lead engineer to develop project specific engineering documents and drawings for submission to customer and the documents required for manufacturing of Steel Support Structures for GIS equipment (transmission and sub-transmission systems).\n\nYou will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasks as per the given inputs and when required need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to complete the task.\n\nYou may also interact with other departments like Primary Engineering, Secondary engineering, Project Management and Production units.\n\nProject Planning and coordination with various internal & external stakeholders for a smooth project execution.\n\nPreparation of Design calculation (in Staad. Pro, Idea-static & Hilti profits) of Steel Support Structures for Gas Insulated Switchgears above 66kV. (Contribution to Tekla modelling will be mandatorily required in certain projects).\n\nEnsure all necessary inputs are available from stakeholders.\n\nPrepare project specific Civil plan for customer providing GIS loading for design of customer building floor, ceiling cranes etc., Influence of environmental conditions on GIS structure designs etc.\n\nSelf-review & peer review of documents.\n\nDelivery of designs on time with Quality and coordinating with the other team members and project lead engineer.\n\nDirectly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects as per quality process.\n\nLiving Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business\n\nYour background:\nYears of experience: 8 - 10 years with B.E/M.E. in Civil & Structural Engineering.\n\nHand on experience in Structural engineering using STAAD.
