This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, maintaining accurate shipping and delivery records, and supporting receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nSafely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, while following traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company transportation procedures.\nPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and monitor vehicle condition, including fuel, tires, fluids, brakes, and lights.\nLoad, unload, transport, and secure materials, equipment, and products using safe handling practices.\nVerify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.\nMaintain required transportation logs, delivery documentation, receipts, and proof-of-delivery records.\nReceive incoming materials and verify quantities and product condition.\nOperate forklifts (hi-lo) and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.\nSupport shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse organization.\nCoordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to support delivery schedules and material availability.\nFollow maps, routing information, written instructions, and delivery schedules to ensure timely transportation.\nReport vehicle maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company safety policies and procedures.\nNote: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.\nOne (1) year of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or a related field preferred.\nValid Michigan driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.\nMust possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement. \nForklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.\nKnowledge of transportation, shipping, and receiving processes.\nAbility to safely operate trucks, trailers, forklifts, and material handling equipment.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory verification.\nAbility to read maps, routing instructions, shipping paperwork, and delivery schedules.\nEffective communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating with team members.\nBasic computer and recordkeeping skills.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.\nCompany Overview:\nAt JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
