Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nHitachi High-Tech America is seeking a Manager, HR Programs & Compliance with the ability to balance a variety of assignments simultaneously. This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides project leadership and support for Human Resources initiatives. The role directly supports the Vice President and has two primary areas of focus: Compliance and Training and Development. This role requires understanding of the general HR function to include knowledge of compliance and training. The successful candidate will have excellent business acumen and understanding of human resources practices in support of the overall business operations and results. Experience in a Hitachi group company or another international business environment is preferred.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nCOMPLIANCE (40%)\nLead and respond to various audits to include Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (HTA), Hitachi High-Tech, Inc. (HHT), Hitachi Limited, ISO, J-Sox, OFCCP, IRS, State, Federal, etc. to ensure compliance. Act as an internal expert, coordinate with other members of HR, and make recommendations regarding audit responses and follow-up actions\nRespond to various HTA, HHT, Hitachi Limited, or other company surveys, requests for information, etc., and coordinate responses with other members of HR or HTA as needed\nOversee and assist with compliance reporting; Affirmative Action Plan, VETS-4212, EEO-1, etc.\nLead and coordinate employee handbook revisions and other company policy development activities\nCommunicate and partner with HTA Legal to ensure compliance with both US and international laws and regulations related to employment, company policies and procedures, and employee handbooks and make recommendations for change as required. Communicate to management and employees, as necessary.\nCreate company compliance communication content such as newsletters\nLEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT (35%)\nLead Learning and Development initiatives. Evaluate and implement initiatives based upon organizational needs. Support parent company, HHT or Hitachi Limited training programs. Support initiatives related to LinkedIn Learning and other training programs\nLead succession planning, leadership development and other related programs, ensuring adherence to HHT requirements\nWork closely with the company Training and Development team to improve training programs across the company\n\nOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: (25%)\nDrive special projects, tracks progress against key initiatives and eliminate roadblocks as needed. Participate in projects led by other HR or HTA staff.\nCreate and disseminate information on all HR-related programs, policies, and procedures. Mediums may include developing presentations, executive proposals, communications, etc.\nSupport HTA committees; HHT WAY, People in Hitachi (PiH), etc.\nManage and mentor the Senior HR & Employee Communications Representative\n\nEDUCATION, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field required.\nHR certifications a plus but not required.\nEXPERIENCE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nMinimum 7+ years of HR experience with exposure to both compliance and training activities.\nAdvanced understanding of local, state and federal employment laws.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS SAFETY REQUIREMENTS\nCompliance activities knowledge/experience required.\nLearning and Development - knowledge of assessing organizational training needs, creating training plan, and sourcing vendors preferred.\nInternational HR - exposure working in an international organization preferred.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProven critical thinking and project management skills with attention to detail and strong time-management.\nSupports day-to-day reporting needs including training, ad hoc reporting, etc.\nExperience and general understanding of International HR fundamentals.\nProficiency using MS Office applications.\nExperience with systems and technology that support HR (e.g. ADP Workforce Now, SharePoint, and Workday).\nSuccessful and professional ability to influence and educate employees at all organizational levels.\nAbility to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities.\nSelf-motivator with ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to use good judgement in decision-making, and exercise creativity and flexibility in problem identification and resolution\nHistory of demonstrating excellent organizational, planning, written, and oral communication.
