You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency while helping deliver products that power communities around the world.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.\nWe have multiple locations and opportunities for these roles.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nSupport daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.\nAnalyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, quality, and throughput.\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues, quality concerns, and process interruptions.\nDevelop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nCreate and maintain manufacturing documentation, standard work instructions, and process specifications.\nPartner with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to improve overall plant performance.\nSupport new product introductions, engineering changes, and production transfers.\nInvestigate equipment performance and recommend upgrades or process enhancements.\nMonitor production KPIs and develop action plans to achieve operational targets.\nDrive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.\nYour Background\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Design engineering or a related technical discipline.\n1+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.\nExperience with process improvement, troubleshooting, and manufacturing optimization.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience with production metrics, process capability analysis, and root cause investigation.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in electrical equipment, transformer manufacturing, power systems, energy, industrial automation, or heavy manufacturing.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nExperience with PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and quality management systems.\nKnowledge of automation, robotics, PLCs, or industrial controls.\nExperience leading cross-functional improvement projects.\nWhat We Offer\nAt Hitachi Energy, we foster a collaborative and inclusive culture where innovation, safety, and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.
