And that’s where you come in.\nJob Description:\nDescription\nHitachi Rail USA is seeking a Project Manager - Rolling Stock in support of our North American Vehicle projects. The Rolling Stock Project Manager will work closely with the Head of Program Management to ensure the accomplishment of onshore activities for the assigned projects. The position will be based in the Hagerstown, MD Area, with the ability for occasional remote work with some travel to our manufacturing plants in Italy and customer/supplier's locations in the United States and elsewhere.\nAccountabilities include (but are not limited to):\nEnsure the on time, on budget and on quality delivery of the assigned project.\nEnsure target achievement of the assigned project in terms of Costs, Revenues, Margin and Cash-in; special focus on monitoring and keeping the invoicing plan as per budget and forecast.\nEnsure positive Client relationships by ensuring a direct interface with the client.\nContribute to the promotion of business opportunities and manage the Change/Variation Orders.\nEnsure contract claims preparation and disputes handling in accordance with contract provisions (e.g. identifying and applying any preventive/corrective action.)\nEnsure the completion of specific assigned activities and tasks of the project (e.g. preparation of Payment Certificates; preparation of Variation Orders, updating of any Claims, etc.)\nManage risk by interfacing with the appropriate stakeholders, managing contingencies and authorizing of their release.\nManage the project schedule towards external (contractual) and internal stakeholders, overseeing the appropriate internal support functions.\nTrack and optimize defined KPIs throughout the assigned project.\nPrepare and deliver monthly project progress reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.\nEnsure analysis and records of Project documents and Contract administration (providing analysis, keeping records)\nEnsure the preparation of Letters or reporting for the Project.\nEnsure the management of Project document control in the project SharePoint.\nEnsure Work in progress and accounts payable reporting and analysis.\nPromote a Zero Harm culture through the implementation and communication of applicable EH&S Policies and Procedures.\nSub-Contractors daily management with special focus on USA located Vendors.\nRequired Skills/ Knowledge\nKnowledge of manufacturing and industrial processes\nPlanning skills\nPrevious experience in Program Management or Planning\nTeamwork skills and ability to manage teams in different locations\nKnowledge of Microsoft office tools\nDesired Skills/ Knowledge\nMinimum of 5 years of experience managing projects.\nGood collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal).\nExperience working in a matrix organization.\nIntercultural experience and collaboration with international team players.\nKnowledge of Earned Value Management.\nWillingness to travel 30% of the time.\nEducation/Qualifications and Relevant Experience in # of years\nGraduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical background.\nPMP® certification or equivalent, or able to obtain certification within twelve months of hire.\nThe salary range for this position is $122,222 to $144,528 per year.
